Vivarium
These birds were designed to conjure a double-edged association between taxidermy and stuffed animals, alternately macabre and playful. They are the blue herons and sandhill cranes common to the driftless area of Wisconsin. The allure of my chosen materials, textures and palettes were meant to menace and seduce simultaneously.
